In game 1, we have the 2-0 Unicorns taking on the 0-2 Chupacabras. The Unicorns have been firing on all cylinders while the Chupas are not. Having barely escaped being shutout last week, the Chupas need to improve in every category if they want to reverse their fortunes.
The Unicorns have been doing well all season, and they shouldn’t change anything. The only problem is that Robert Robles finally showed up, and that changes everything. It’ll be interesting to see how the Unis handle a full squad and the personality of Robles for a full game.
The Chupas played a solid game in week 1, but they all but disappeared in week 2. This is a team that can be dangerous, but it’s anybody’s guess as to which team will show up.
Players to Watch
Phil Heichel of the Unicorns wants to prove that he’s more than just a garbage-time goal scorer. Look for Phil to get on the board early and often.
Los Chupacabras forward Evan Cumpston was physically at the game last week, but he did little to raise any eyebrows. He’s going to be on a mission to take this team on his back and get them into the win column.

In the second game of the night, we see the Demogorgons take on the Krakens. Both teams sit on a 1-1 record and have much to prove.
The Demogorgons man-handled the Chupas last week and showed that they have all the tools to be a threat. Don’t expect them to change anything as captain Andrew Minerd is likely still recovering from the hangover brought on by the week-long celebration of the win.
The Krakens need to throw it in reverse. After a strong game in week 1, they sputtered out in week 2. Anytime Wayne Garrick is leading your team in scoring, you know there are a handful of players not pulling their weight up front.
Players to Watch
Highly-touted Demogorgon forward Marley Ros woke up last week and helped his team cruise to victory. Look for him to continue ratcheting it up as he’s just getting started.
Krakens forward Chris Jiminez is looking to break out. In week 1, he picked up a couple of points, but he was held in check last week. Look for him to utilize his Speedy Gonzalez-like speed to get his team going early in this game.
