Game Previews
11/03/2019 – Week 2 Preview
Week 2 is here, and if we see the same intensity as we saw last week, these games should be entertaining to say the least.

Game 1 features the undefeated Aliens taking on the undefeated Body Snatchers in a match-up for bragging rights atop the standings.
The Aliens handled the Ghoulies relatively easily last week as they jumped out to a 5- or 6-goal lead before the Ghoulies got on the board. They are going to need to bring that exact same game plan this week if they are looking to top the Body Snatchers.
The Body Snatchers won a thrilling back-and-forth epic against the Stay Pufts. Their key to victory is going to revolve around tightening up on defense and keeping the Aliens off the board early.
Players to Watch
Aliens’ goalie Taylor Newton gave up a few goals he would like to have back against an underwhelming Ghoulies team. Look for him to rebound against the Body Snatchers. He just has to keep reminding himself that he’s not playing for the Unicorns anymore.
Body Snatchers forward Robert Robles is looking to make an impact this week. If he can get over the boards without a step stool, he just may accomplish that.

The second game features last week’s losers. This should still be a good game, though.
The Ghoulies opened the season on the wrong foot. Giving up 6 goals to start the season is not the way to go, but the good news is that they setlled down and only allowed 2 more while scoring 4 of their own the rest of the game. If they can put together a full game similar to the second half of last week, they may have a chance.
The Stay Pufts lost on one horrendouse bad bounce in the waning seconds of the game last week. This week, they are going to need to tighten up on defense and not play the run-and-gun game of last week.
Players to Watch
Ghoulies forward James Jopalchick was all over the place last week. He was causinng havoc and throwing sticks. He might not score a ton of goals, but that kind of enthusiasm is what can win games. Just hold on to your stick, James.
Stay Pufts Brain van Vlymen was a menace last week. He’s not used to losing, and last week’s let-down may be enough of a spark for him to tear it up this week.
